Tri-Civics is a nonpartisan civic engagement coalition working to strengthen voter participation, improve access to voting, and expand community civic leadership in Washington County, Tennessee and the Tri-Cities region.
OUR MISSION
To strengthen regional civic participation by expanding access to voting, reducing barriers to engagement, and supporting voter registration, turnout, and civic education across our communities.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Strengthen Voter Registration in Underrepresented Communities
With a primary focus on downtown Johnson City precincts 15–19; younger voters; BIPOC communities; and low-income residents.
Increase Turnout Among Low-Participation Populations
Grounded in data showing very low participation among impoverished residents, BIPOC communities, and young men in the Tri-Cities.
Improve Civic Access & Reduce Structural Barriers
Aligned with Washington and Sullivan Counties’ low polling-place access and poverty-related obstacles.
Expand Community Partnerships & Civic Programming
Built on existing partner initiatives and community needs.
